From sedate walks to extreme mountain biking the Saalachtal valley has something for everyone. The lift system runs in the summer offering access to strolls in the alpine meadow, a network of hiking and running trails and hardcore downhill bike runs.

The Saalach river offers everything from a gentle swim in calm turquoise waters to  white water action - kayaking, rafting, Canadian canoeing, tubing and Hydrospeed. Lofer recently hosted a stage in the kayaking world cup races.

Nearby there are several golf courses plus a unique cross country walk/golf  course stretching over 5 miles.  There is a summer toboggan run in nearby Saalfelden a large outdoor pool complex in Unken and lake swimming and watersports in Zell am Zee (30 mins drive).

Slightly further afield the Austrian Lake District is within an hours drive and offers both stunning sightseeing and a myriad of water sports and activities.
