If your dream skiing day starts with a long leisurely breakfast, a few runs before lunch up the mountain and a nice mid-afternoon break to catch some rays then we may have just the place for you. Lofer is the polar opposite of purpose the built French ski resort which has nothing for non skiers.

 The valley has breathtaking walks, treks and cross country skiing tracks from relaxed to challenging. The village is full of charming cafes, restaurants and shops and the lift system allows non-skiers to access the mountains easily where there are sledge runs and restaurants.

Close by you will find a wonderful spa in Bad Reichenhall (20mins drive) and the city of Salzburg (35mins drive) is one of the worlds great cities to visit in winter - especially around Christmas time. There is a skating rink in St Martin (10mins walk) and Zell Am See (30 mins drive) offers skating on the frozen lake.
